latest Vix 2.4 Questions

Hi i have a VU Duo clone
i have had vix 2.4 build 96 for a while without problems
i done an update via ( VIX software update )
the box was then stuck on starting
so i tried flashing via USB the latest build 213
box is still stuck on starting
so i then reflashed build 96 and box is working again

however when i try to download plugins it says " server is down for maintenance "


any help appreciated

You should try to reflash it, it seems it still retained the previous image!
use Vix 2.4 build 155 or lower

Have you tried since you posted to download plugins from the Vix servers as the maintenance may have finished.

I have this exact same problem. After querying it on the world of satellite forums, it seems I may have been sold a clone, when I thought I was buying a genuine box.

When I got the box, I ran the "Return the love" plugin or whatever it's called and it confirmed the box was genuine, so I'm actually unsure as to whether I have a cloned or genuine box.

I found this post somewhere on this forum:

just worth pointing out that any ViX 2.4 image above build 155 or BH 1.7.6 image will not work on a clone due to new drivers released by vu which have anti clone measures in them.

Which kind of suggests my box is a clone. Is there any workaround/hack for this?

If your Duo is a clone then if you wish to use BH 1.7.6 or Vix 2.4 over build 155 then i am afraid you will have to wait until the end of august when ferrari will issue an update to patch the latest set of Vu drivers.

i also had the plugins issue on my original also for over a week,i noticed green dot flashing and seeing a software update was available i updated something,download plugins now works again but with stuff removed i had used before .
