Vu Duo stuck at red light

    Hello
I switched on my new Vu Duo clone today & all I get is a red light. No communication through telnet over serial cable.
They have promised to send me a new PSU but will this fix the problem? I have read loads of threads on the net about capacitor C807 is this worth a try but I doubt it as the box is meant to be new it could not have failed already.

Well I can confirm that the psu is dead I jury rigged up an old thomson top up tv psu & the vu duo boots up fine.
Pretty slack quality control on the cloners behalf.

unfortunately thats not a uncommon find when dealing with clones. The again you are buying a receiver that is a total rip off of another and all they really want is your money for the Duo name, after that they really dont care.

Well they have promised to send me a new psu, I would like to know what part in the psu has failed though seems a complete waste that this problem is so widespread. Even so repairing it would only last so long until another component would fail.

there are plenty of photos around dk on the inside of duo clones which will shock you with what they check and call suitable.
