i have read that the latest versions of the tspanel
dont load on some of the latest vu images, and it
was stated to load a earlier tspanel version like the
v4.9 and once loaded you can update the tspanel to
the latest version, or better still just load the cams
via the tmp folder, you will find them here in post 2
of this thread,

I just got the same trouble
Updated my image from a perfectly working blackhole (why must I always try and "improve" things!)
now running DE4.0 but no TSpanel. I manually installed the ipk but it's not showing anywhere even after a reboot.
help ?

Quick Question about TS-PAnel and what its doing behind the scenes.

IIRC the VIX team removed the TSPanel plugin from the VIX feeds - their reason was that it was hacking about behind the scenes with some of the image or config files.

This is the reason I haven't loaded it since.

Any comments on this? I'd like to re-install, but won't if the VIX devs are right.

The reason why it was removed from the ViX feeds is because during it's install process it overwrites many image critical system files. This both causes instabilities within the image ( one of which affects PTS ) and it makes a full install almost impossible.

Pli have also stated the same on their own forum with reference to the TSpanel

as for cams you can download them directly from the same place as the ViX images as there now hosted on our own download server.

first thing you dont load the tspanel with a usb stick
it has to be loaded with a DCC , if you want to use this
for the extra items for the image we do help with on the forum the image has everything built in it, if you press menu on the box and go to pluggins>ok when the pluggin list appears press green and the image server will upload anouther list of pluggins where all you need is there
