What else can vu+duo do?

now that i got my channels, shoutcast, not that interested in streaming unless the sat box can be tuned to a different channel while i watch the channel i'm streaming, which is unlikely.Anyway

Can i surf the net? is there anything else you guys might think i will enjoy doing?

the duo has two tuners so you can stream one channel and have the box on another clem ... can't surf the net tho'

Thats brilliant, wasn't interested in streaming cuz it seemed pointless have to learn now. Ta for that 1.

simplest way is to install vlc player ...enable openwebif in plugins ... then using firefox with the vlc plugin installed ... type the box ip into the address bar .... web interface should appear and you should be good to go clem ....find the channel you want to stream in the bouquets list ... and click on the stream icon (wee screen on the right hand side) ... job done

i have a web browser on mine and use it with wireless keyboard and mouse to go online with no problems

Can you explain in detail how, me daft.

Can you tell me what plugins I'll need, to start with. There are a lot of plugins and the vu isn't that fond of some of them, a few cause software errors and what not. I've been a bit selective as to which plugins i might need. I'm on vix 2.4 vu up to date

The latest: I have figured out how to stream from the vu+ hard drive. How to stream live tv while on another channel i'll never figure out without help.

M8, have a look in the Vu section I posted a video about a year ago on streaming from Vu to Pc :-)

to install the plugin its

menu/plugins/addons manager/network/web browser

download it restart box then select web browser plugin from plugins list then change a couple of settings to allow use of keyboard and mouse instead of controller job done and working internet thru duo

this is on blackhole images

i have never used vix images so can not say its on there plugin addons or not sorry maybe rubberduck or other vix users might know

have read about 1channel plugin mate it is basically a on demond movie plugin
there is a thread on it on this site search for it in vu section
