New setup, What am i doing wrong?

Hi,

I recently put up a new motorised dish and im using a vu+duo (not a clone). I flashed the box with blackhole 1.7.6. The dish is setup correctly as we had a professional round to confirm that. He plugged in his devices and confirmed everything was spot on (he didnt even need to move anything ). On the receiver we are able to receive hotbird 13 and astra 19.2 no problem, the signal locks around 75% (snr), but when we run a scan of the channels it only finds around 7 channels on 19.2 astra and around 20 channels on hotbird 13? also when i try and search for 28.2 (which is the reason i bought this equipment for) the signal drops. Why is the signal dropping?

Things ive done, i have enigma installed, tspanel, i tried downloading hotbird 13 and astra 19.2 channel lists to see if that would help find more channels but it doesnt help.

Is there something im missing or not doing? the professional that came around was baffled at why we couldnt find more channels. To be honest i think he was more to do with satellite installs rather than receivers, he looked lost hehe. I have another brand new vu+ duo which i tried and the same thing is happening so i dont think its the boxes.

The settings im using on the tuner/reception settings are:

Priority - Auto
LOF - Universal LNB
Voltage Mode - Polarization
Increased Voltage - No
Tone Mode - Band
DisEqc - 1.2
Toneburst - None
Committed DiSEqC Command - None
Fast DiSEqC - No
Sequence Repeat - No
Command Order - Committed, Toneburst
Uncommitted DiSEqC Command - None
DiSEqC Repeats - None
Longitude - 6.126 west
Latitude - 54.732 North
Use usals for this sat - Yes

I got my longitude from satellite finder.

Can anybody suggest anything? is there plugins i might need? im new to all this and its soul destroying when theres no more avenues to explore as i feel ive tried everything. There is another guy due out tomorrow to look at my setup. Is there anything i can try in the mean time ie to get more channels on the 19.2/13 satellites?

i have had a ot of problems since i got mine
is it a clone or original

if its a clone u need to turn usuals off
i never put my co-ordinates in either
but picking up 28.2 19.2 and 13.0 no problem
also struggling to get a good signal on 16e and 0.8w

this is what i got from someone to get mine going

goto sat setup
tuner
advanced
pick 28.2
lnb 1
turn off usualls
then reboot
do the same with all the sats you want
then goto possitioner
and drive the dish left or right
till you get a lock
then store the postion

My boxes are both originals. if i try what you have suggested do i still need to turn usals off even know they are original boxes?

Can you help with why im not receiving more channels tho on 13/19.2?

not lined up correctly you wont scan them all in.

as far as im led to believe original boxes u dont need the usuals turned off.............
mines is a clone and thats what i had to do
and had to realign dish coz the motor was out 2 degrees

heres a question for you
can you rip an internet stream from the box

Another punter ripped off by a so called professional more like a fly by night cowboy, OP the installer should have set the dish up and your box at the same time if he has no idea then he needs to find another profession.

Get the Guy back to sort it out seeing as you paid it should be sorted

I didnt get ripped off, he didnt get paid.

I have another guy due out any minute here.

Good for you but it seems odd you calling someone out who would normally have a callout fee anyway and check your system for free, Thats a new one on me then.
