    Hello!

My problem is that when i open usb loader gx it counts from 20 to zero and says it couldnt find HDD. I need help because i dont know what is the problem. Maybe my usb drive is not compatible or i did something wrong or my usb port doesnt work. any help? thanks

first off, is the hdd plugged into the port nearest the outside edge of the wii, secondly is the hdd formatted and have at least one wii game on it, and thirdly is the hdd mains or usb powered.

The counting is usually due to a HDD not recognised by the wii.

Nowadays you don't to format your drive to WBFS anymore as the newer USB games loader support fat as well.

WBFS is good but you can ONLY put games on it compare to FAT32 which support all file format. Plus you can load all your game covers on the drive and even all your apps from HBC too!

Anyway back to the problem. Try and swapped the drive to the other USB port and if that still don't work then it's the drive mate. Try another drive and see.

      Good luck.

Games not loading is normally caused by not having the proper iOS/cIOS installed. Just used Modmii installer as if you are about to hack your wii then just install all ONLY the cIOS that it recommends you.

          Hopefully that'll fix it.

Hi highlander, just a couple of (hopefully) simple questions - Got USB loader installed last night to a point. It said the cIOS wasn't correct on start-up and then wouldn't detect the HDD attached. I formatted the HDD using WBFS manager.
Will your wad pack work with V4.3e?
What formats best for the HDD?
and is it just a case of copying the disk ISO to the HDD to play it?

              Many thanks for your help

USB Loader GX will say it needs cIOS222, cIOS249 or cIOS250 installing before it will work you can find all these in the link HH has given you. Full Cios wad pack. That wad pack will work a 4.3.

There are various ways you can add games to an HDD the simplest way if WBFS Manager that I've always used. You can format the drive FAT32 and make different folders on that drive depending on the game file format, iso, wbfs. I believe the later USB Loader allow NTFS formatted drives.

If you post a sysCheck report as instructed in that link that will tell us if you've installed the necessary wads.

Don't forget d2x needs to be installed into ios 236 or it won't install

Cheers guys. Have got the HDD formatted using WBFS manager and got a RAR file extracted onto the drive. Will install the suggested files when I get home and see how I go.

Sorry, just one follow-up question....HH - you mentioned installing d2X into ios 236. Can you recommend an installer for Ios236 that will this allow me to download through the Wifi ? I tried one last night that just hung with Ah-Ha playing in the background,
                      Cheers

If CFG USB loader works then they should all work as the all use the same wads/cIOS's.
