    Guide to using keys

Is there a guide anywhere that shows how to use keys on a dreambox?
Ideally how to download them straight to dreambox.
I've looked for information but it seems more secretive than the Masons.

      I can't find the information.
I have dreambox with TSpanel installed.
I want to download keys and software to use keys directly from the dreambox.
What do I need to download?
Can you provide a link to a guide or explain to me how to do it please?

you would download an emu like cccam or mgcamd , and the appropriate keys as well, then activate and use the emu to access the keys

you can ftp key files into usr/keys yourself, or edit any that are in there

seems to me you should have posted in the dreambox forum as that is where all the questions , answers and guides are

you need to ask a mod to move the thread for you to the correct section

            Thanks for reply.
I put it in here cause the dreambox forum is like a ghost town.
I'm still not clear on what to do. There is obviously no decent guides on keys on the internet, which i find strange. Pity I've not got a funny handshake.

I dont think you will find any guides

anything I have read tells you to either download a set of keys like satans or satangels or minicats or similar key bundles and install them , which tends to happen through tspanel or similar updater plugins, and then just restart the emu

it may vary somewhat according to the emu depending if you are using cccam or mgcamd, and some people have had to create their own constant.cw file and point the emu at it apparently

other people already have the emus and so ftp the latest or amended softcam.key file to usr/keys which is all a downloader does anyway

Its still my belief that if you want dreambox help then posting in that section, and according to your model that you will get more targeted help instead of a general sat chat section, after all, if I wanted to know something about tesco beans I wouldnt ask in morrissons because they had more customers inside

not only that the emphasis in linux boxes tends to be vu so maybe you would find what you need in there ? linux being linux

the thing about linux boxes is that it depends on the image you are running and suchlike as to what to do and how its done, so less likely to get tutorials as linux box owners are expected to work things out for themselves

but I would try installing cccam and mgcamd, then download and install a key bundle and then check diema on 39e or something similar
