Dreamup with cable rs 232 problem

I hava my DM 7000 in living room,so there is no internet connection. I all set up like in the instructions with dream up, but problem is that, because i don't have internet connected there my computer have no IP(pc-IP). What can i do?

I forgot. I go to start--->>run--->cmd--->and type ipconfig/all but can't find IP. Why is important that i have internet connected to have IP(pc)? What have cable rs 232 to do with IP(pc)?

if you use null modem cable to flash box you donot need to use ip address

ip addresses are used more for transfering other files into the image,k which you would use a cross over cablefrom you pc or a straight ethernet out of a router to the dreambox to network the box then its internet ready as well

So in dream up i just leave where i have to put in Ip of computer and just write the ip of the dreambox?
Sorry because a lot of questions but i have to be sure when i'm going to flash my image.

leave the network box unticked on the dreamup page
the network is for using null modem cable and ethernet
so just use null modem cable with box unticked
