Latest skybox f3 firmware

Hi guys, basically need to update my f3, still on july firmware, where can I get the latest firmware, also should I get the scooby snack firmware instead?

Do you really need to update your firmware?

If you really feel the need to update then, imho, it would be best to use the firmware directly available the manufacturers website..

i have recently put this firmware on my M3 (works for F3 too) and i find it very stable and box is fast and responsive.

it's named -
SKYBOX F3_M3_WIFI_3601HD_CMT_12092004D1

and i think its very recent - dated 19th oct 2012. (although it could be the same firmware from the official site listed 20th sept??)

anyway....it works very well for me...big improvement over the stock firmware...

May I ask why you updated your firmware, was it not stable fast and responsive before you updated?

yeah...my box ****ed up ...was stuck on a red light...took me a whole weekend to get it back....thread on it here somewhere (last weekend)
i got the stock firmware to go on, but there was no option for viewing the cccam or newcam lines after you updated them, the menu options just werent there....so i updated to the latest firmware thinking it would do no harm and the options were in the menu list then, also the whole box felt faster and more responsive

Skybox F3/M3 Software-Youtube(121031)
1. Add "Micro Panel" to improve the remote control, when play channel ,press "M/P" key .
2. Add Youtube Function, (Network App).
3. When update the new firmware , keep the satellites data and system setting.(Upgrade By USB).
4. Fav groups name will be save in the TP_PROG.DBS, when dump the TP_PROG.DBS by USB.

Im using it at the moment, as far as i can see it adds youtube and thats about it.

I have tried a few lately to try and resolve a voice sync issue and to be honest they have all seemed to work the same with no obvious improvement in performance with any of them.

My advice is if your box is working fine then leave alone

the latest firmware and youtube app works fine for me
wonder will they update that app so you could sign into a youtube account and access your playlists

Finding this firmware very unstable. Had quite a few crash/restarts and have gone back to the previous fw.

I had the same problem i ended up reverting back to the old one i backed up which is stable but i don't think ill update till they fix that and maybe fix some other stuff like video and audio recording sync problems as well.
