Dreambox and frequency 12441V on Astra 28.2

    Hallo to everyone,

Site kingofsat.net gives the channels under this frequency as BBCi 1 to 7.
I just recently bought a used Dreambox 7020.
It recognizes these channels as data and so they do not appear to its TV lists...
in fact I do not seem to be able to make these channels appear as TV channels.
I also have a Commander 6000 irci (maybe not a widely known receiver).
This receiver scans and recognizes these channels as Stream 1 to 6 and whenever they transmit something I am able to view them.
I would like to ask why is that with the Dreambox receiver...???
Is it the same with other receivers too...???
Is there a way to make them appear on the TV lists of Dreambox...???

    Thanks

My Technomate recognizes them as stream0-6..
They could also be named random numbers like 15328

Read the Rules here; they apply to Everyone.

        @ westkill
Although I get a channel named ETV3 (just checked it on 20-02-2009 23:20 (local time = GMT+2 in Athens) - it only transmits sound and no picture. No ETV1 or ETV2 channels.

        @ Sadiq999uk
No not present as random numbers. I have checked them all - although the box has not named many as numbers...

Just a note that may make the difference:
There is a software for Dreamboxcalled "Bouquetter" that helps organize you channels and lists from your pc.
This program shows these channels as data (first screenshot) and additionaly with the "service type" field not editable by user with the value "data" (second screenshot).
This is not the case for any other tv or radio channels... in this cases the field is editable...!!!

          Hi there,

I suppose this may be not of great interest to some of you but for me who live in Greece and would much like to receive some UK channels it is dissapinting to loose some (among the few that we receive) in such a way so I would greatly appreciate a suggestion as to how or what can I do to make by DremBox understand them as normal channels and display them in the TV-channels list and not as data (and so not in tv-list = not available to view them)*.
After all it is a shame that the other receiver I own (Commander 6000 - which is one among the cheapest in the market and not well known) does contain them in its TV programs list...

          PS
          * = It is a great shame that we are not able to receive any of the chanels-radios included in the 2D sat-beam. Is it known by anyone if they will ever be included (among other beams-transpnders) in an upgrade regarding signal strength so as to enable the rest of the Europe to enjoy those channels...???
Regarding the area of Athens where I live it would need a dish with a diameter of more than 6 meters, which makes it impossible... Other areas of Greece can recieve it with smaller dishes but in any case no less than 3 meters...

if you use dreambox edit you can (hopefully) find these channels and change them from data to tv. that way im sure they do show up.
