Can anyone help me i am new to the satelite scene and i have a dreambox 500s.Which is the best site to go to for downloading the images and cams and how do you do it?

if you go to Digital Kaos - Cable & Satellite Forum. you will find the best images and help on this subject.
if you have a read of this site you will have notice that all you need is here.. Images, tools and knowledge in one place.
Read these first, you can flash the DK image to it (look in here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/dlcat-images-2/ for images) and whatever cam you choose, if you need help chooisng a cam we can help you there. What type of dish do you have (fixed or motorised) what size is it etc? The more info you supply the better the asnswer you will receive.

Hello, ive got my dreambox attached to the Pc, and have used Universal Dreamup V1.2.2.0
but all it says is the above ''connection prepared, now switch on the dreambox!''
and on the log it says 00.25.23 box type: DM500
but nothing happens ive been waiting ages, could somebody please help me? thankyou.

hi there, is there is any 1 can help me on dm500s, as i did everything and i learned everything from here, accept, doing or knowing how to make or configure the servers or cardsharing information, and is there is any cardsharing which i can download wich works straight forward, or any sort of trick,,,,

after you press the connect button and you received the mentioned message you need to resatrt your box, that's by removing the power cable and return it again, then you'll be connected with the dreamup, you need RS232 cable (serial port) for connection not the IP address

1- You first need to have a good image... I recommend 'Gemini 4.6' as it is very good and stable, this one is without the bomb

2- then you will need the 'flash wizard 6.3' program that you will use for uploading the image to your box
Digital Kaos - Downloads - FlashWizard Pro 6.3
3- You can download all the plugins from the gemini server that will be included with the image and can be accessed through the blue button in you remote control
