    ps3 hacked permanently

    i read in a reputed magzine that ps3 was hacked permanently by group of hacker which cannot be patched.i would like to know if it true and can we install windows xp or win 7 operating system on it and if yes how

    This is the first I've heard but I doubt it would be true, surely they will just release a firmware update to fix any exploits?

                not sure i used it last year, so maybe right, but cant you put a new hd in it and restall?

                    No go on a new HD. You need to use a hardware flasher to downgrade anything over 3.55. You can get a dual boot setup and run OFW on one NAND and CFW on the other, that way you maintain access to the PSN (as long as you're booted up on OFW).
