Cant get any BBC channels on my EX7000

    Hello all.
Missing all the BBC channels as well as some of the music channels. Am with C****s N*L in the Limerick area in Ireland. Did a deep scan but no joy. Any idea folks?

try downloading a CDF for your area which someone else has made, that may work.

Forgive my ignorance Shortman but what is a CDF?

Channel Definition File, however the EX7000 uses a .tbn format for channel data. Are you on cable or MMDS? And name the exact channels you are missing and I will see if I can get an answer for you.

There is a CDF for Limerick in downloads but it is a bit haphazard with a lot of duplicates as it looks like it was done manually.

          Hello Satsmo.
I am missing BBC 1,2,3,4, UTV, Channel 4 and the majority of the music channels. All the MTV's, Bubble, VH1 etc. I am on cable and already have a EX1000 SL and a Starview 2. They both have the channels I am missing. Any help would be great.

          Thanks
          Pete.

Take the frequencies of the missing channels from your working box/boxes and input them manually into the EX7000 and scan. You should pick them up then. Bubble Hits has ceased broadcasting so I wouldnt go looking for that one.

Make sure you are scanning from the direct feed, take out any splitters if you are using one, just for the duration of the scan.

Am way ahead of you there, I did that and checked the frequencies on both, when I manually inputted the frequencies I got nothing. One thing I did notice on the EX7000 was that I could only input the first 4 digits of the frequency so for example I could only input 4187 if the frequency was 418750. I assumed that it would do a full sweep of 418000 to 418999 but no joy there either.

Try 419 as opposed to 418.

I tried doing that and eventually got BBC 1 and 2, I picked up BBC 3 and 4 got their channel idents and the programme listing but no picture or sound...very strange.

                  Pete.

BBC3 & 4 do not broadcast until after 7PM. I would also check CBBC and Cbeebies if you have them as they sometimes share the same TP.
