    Technomate 5402?

Would like to know from users of this box if they would recommend it? i want a box with full epg & apparently this box does that. Also is it relatively easy to use?

Probably the easiest box to set up....like you said it does have a full 7 day epg...It cost twice as much as like a openbox but after comparing my 5402 against a friends openbox im glad i did choose the 5402 picture is alot clearer in sd and hd channels...i would recommend it

thanks for the reply bro, i've found it on ebay for ?135 which is an affordable price for me. The other thing was, is it easy to record things? is there daily and weekly recordings you can set etc.

No worries......There's a reason why the 5402 cost in the region of ?130 ish and a openbox/skybox for ?50-?70

                Offer ?120 here mate,

I've bought a few from them and can't recommend them highly enough.

I'm using the 5402 the last 16 months and think its a great receiver.

I have to say the 5402 is a great unit, HD picture unbeatable especially once you get the right firmware

The only downside (and a constant gripe of mine) is the awful on-screen display graphics. Why TM can't update these to be like any major manufacturer's OSDs is beyond me. They use bitmap graphics which look rubbish on large TVs.

Use a channel from tp 11.777 select channel to view then press epg button and leave it on epg on that channel for a minute or so. The channel will say no audio and no video but it will still populate epg
