Flashing the dm600 will be easy. The real hard work is aligning the dish and descrambling the channels. Best do it in stages and come here when you are stuck.

        flash is done!.

I presumed the dreambox would descramble channels.

Ok so my mate has a sky dish and that would not need to be moved i presume again.

If i download ccam file what then do we need to do.

First question is what channels are you expecting to get? If you are hoping for the S*y channels you get on cable than I am afraid you are going to be disappointed as Sky is not hacked on satellite but you should be able to FTA channels. Most people are using CCcam 2.0.11 for the cam and the Satan keybundle for the keys.

thats what hes is expecting. I understand there is a system for card sharing and watching channels all over the world.

Do you require a different dish!

To get something worthwhile I would advise getting an 80cm - 1m motorised dish. To get S*y you can either subscribe or go the route of cardsharing. Discussions about cardsharing are not allowed on the forum but you can google for the information.

i am trying to see the benefits because when cable presumably swiches over i will do the same but what is the benefit.

do you pay a subscrition for card sharing or if you get basic sky package can you connect dreambox an card share for all sky channels

To understand the benefits of a sat setup what you need to do is close your mind to S*y and forget you ever heard of it and then imagine half a dozen providers like S*y in Europe giving you similar content but you never quite have to pay anyone for it unless you want some particular sport. If you cannot be bothered to sort out the technicalities of cardsharing then you could pay someone a subscription for the previlge of cardsharing. It could cost about ?300 for a reciver and a motorised dish but after 12 months I would say that it easily pays for itself.
