    Eurovox 7000HD Problems

    HI guys

i have this box and cant for the life of me pick up any transponders. Ive tried all scans and nothing happens whatsoever other than the % going up.

Does any1 know if this is a box prob or firmware prob please as i have also noticed that the signal strength is very weak yet on my dreambox 500c theres no problems whatsoever which rules out my cable connection.

Thanks in advance for any replys

if box prob i really need to get it sent back as i was waiting for firmware to see if that helped but seems delayed

There are scanning issues in some areas which are to be sorted in the next update. But even with these issues you should be at least picking up most of your channels.

Are you using the latest firmware and scanning on the correct provider from the direct feed for your initial scan?

Hi mate and thanks for the quick reply.

Yes mate, im very experienced with the scanning side of these boxes, had quite a few come in and out of my hands. This 1 is a right royal pain.

All scans take at least 40 minutes, and theres absolutely nothing happening at all. Ive tried it at mine on all scans at 6.952 and even took it to my friends whois 6.887 with no joy at all.

Ive never had this kind of prob before altho saying that a old max i had had the 8% prob but fixed that with the 8% firmware but never had a box before that dont do anything.

I wondered because it had a low signal is that why its not picking up any TPs but then how do i fix the low signal or send it back with me telling them its tuner issue, because this has not happened before im not sure what to do.

And also what does the new firmware meant to fix??

also forgot to mention, i have done direct feed as well as my dreambox is used via a splitter and that makes no difference either.

i swear its a dodgy box but i want to be 100% sure its not the firmware which i dont believe it is as my father in law has bought 1 and his worked perfect.

TBH I would send it back as this one does look like a tuner issue.

Why don't you take your box to the inlaws and tune it there, if you have the same problam at that location you can be 100% sure it's faulty.
