New Eurovox PVR 5100 ?

Hi All

Thinking on purchasing the new pvr 5100 does anyone have one?

If so what do you make of it and would you recommend it?

I bought one about three weeks ago and can highly recommend it,I find it just as good as the MaxV 2008 ...I did however buy the version without the HD fitted as no need for it ....

What's the difference between EX1000 SL and EX1000 PVR ?
Is there one with an HD input/output?

Yes it has,but its pretty well identical in how it works etc ... the EX1000 SL is a slim line model whereas the other a PVR machine so it can be used to record as you assume ...

no it repaces the 5000pvr which replaced the 2008 the 5100 was brought out because the 5000 has been cloned any on the market will be clones so make sure you get a 5100 in green carton

Before I purchased one recently, I read loads of posts on here. Having bought it and got it working there are some issues that I wish I'd found. It only has one tuner, which means it can only record the station that you are on. A bit like a video recorder. the record function is a little clunky. The tv programmes interface is not great, very basic. The organization of the channels is not brilliant either. Its not a high def HD picture. BUT its very cool, its relatively cheap and you pays your money. Its a great box. There are other sat boxes which have these additional features, but unsuprisingly cost more.

I wouldn't buy using Payp*l. See my other post for details.

hi im jst trying to set up my ex5100pvr but on doing lots of scans it has only found 54 channels and most of them r dbled up plz help tell me how to find more thanx di :-0

Have a good reas of the "sticky" first m8, it explains in detail what you need to do and gives u an idea of what to look for when updating and scanning.
Before scanning make sure u do a factory reset and put in the correct symbol rate for your area.

Before scanning m8 do a clear data/factory reset.
scan direct from the incoming line , without any splitters.

Did u do a factory reset/clear data before scanning?
Scan without any splitters and on the correct symbol rate for your area.
