    Openbox S10 onboard ethernet problem

    Hi,

I have received a new openbox S10 yesterday and the Ethernet port on the box is not working.

When you connect an Ethernet cable to the box the lights do not come on so it appears that the port its self is dead. I have tried using different Ethernet cables and also in different ports on the router but still nothing. I have also tried to flash a different firmware to the box but still the same thing.

If you look at the link below the type of openbox that I have is the middle picture with the onboard Ethernet component.

Inside all 3 OpenBox S10 versions

The only reason that I have not completely written it off is when the box is booting up the green light on the Ethernet component flashes once, which makes me think that there may be some way to save it.

Has anyone any ideas? Or suggest a firmware that may make a difference?

    Thanks in advance

Send it back for a refund... Its faulty, why faff about with it.. S10 is such an old model now, why didnt you buy a more current model, like a Skybox F3...

The only reason I was trying to fix it is because they want me to pay the postage to send it back, which is annoying me as it was sent faulty.

Ordered the S10 as I have had the boxes before and not had any issues with them, I think I will be going down the F3 route from now on for a cheap box.

Off back it goes then thanks
