    PS3 Harddrive

I have a Toshiba MK2576GS from a ps3 console I would like to use in a PC. I can only see 160 gig of this 250gig drive.
I suspect it has a hidden partition put on by the ps3.
Is there a way to remove this so I can use the full 250g of the drive?
    Thanks

    Its possible

yes, the Playstation uses a 2.5" SATA hard drive, you need to format it, I was having dificulty getting a program to detect the hard drive with the playstation software on it, so I installed windows 7 over it and then I did a full format.

I did format it, to 160GB, I think the lables are misleading

      it says
      MK2576GSX R <------ should be 250GB
      HDD2J95 H ZR01 B

      but lower down
      8455MB (CYL16383,H16,S63)
      160GB (312,581,808Sectors) <----- 160GB

Go to control panel and go to folder options and select show hidden files or folders.

Right click my computer, click manage, go to disk management. Make sure you format and repartition the right drive.

Or go to adminstration tools computer management you will see the HDD in there and how It is currently configured
