In the process of turning a old dell into a linux receiver, got xbmcunbuntu running on it old nova 300 card and nvidia 210. Got it too the point where I can use it as a freesat box now all running great
think I got the bit we can't talk about sorted gonna play tonight and try.
Full machine spec
intel p4 D @ 3Gh
300GB hdd from old sat box
2GB ram
nvidia 210
and a nova 3000 sat card I had in junk cupboard for ages
Total spend 22 quid for graphics card as pc came for free
and sat card been around for years when i used to watch tv via main pc
Reason for doing this I wanted a all in one box, catch up tv, netflix and love film and streaming from nas etc etc but didn't want to spend the earth doing it, Like said above the info is out there steep learning curve if like me you never touched linux before but if I can do it then why not give it a go
now if only i could get nova 3000 remote to work
