    Please some 1 help me with my eurovox max v

    Hi not sure if i posted my last messege in the correct forum so i'm gonna stat this 1

    I have a eurovox max v & for over a year it has been good to me but just recently 16/3/09 it stopped getting a signal & my internet also stopped working on this day not sure if it's a coincidence or it's connected anyway i called virgin media 2 tell them & they sent out a technition & now my internet is working but my box still dosn't pick anything up does anyone know if they have figured out how to block the signal & can this be fixed i hope someone can help as i can't bear to only have the basic channels again

      Hi thanks for ur help i tried ur suggestions & it hasn't worked i think VM have blocked the signal coming into my box somehow

        have you flashed your box with the new firmware m8 ,
        if so do a factory reset and power scan to search for your channels.

              yeah i'll try that at the weekend m8 thanks......so u don't think they could have blocked y box then??

                tried my box in a mates house at weekend & my bos still says no signal or no channel avaliable not sure what 2 try now any 1 any ideas thanks

                  Did you scan using the correct symbol rate for your area?

                    what i have done so far is flashed it (hopefully i have done this correct) i have rescanned it look for the channels & when i do this now i only get about 8-15% signal rate & it finds no channels i took to my friends house to see if it would work in his house as he also has a eurovox but it didn't work in his house either.. while it was plugged in my friends house i put in the codes but this still didn't work not sure if virgin have blocked the signal into my house is this a possability????

                      OK but which symbol rate did you scan with? 6952 is default, but you may be in a 6887 area. Where are you roughly town/city will do or nearest to and I will tell you your SR.

                        Right ok i'm not sure how i know the scan numbers ur talking about like i said i'm a bit thick when it comes to this so plz be patent with me i'm live in Scotland, Dundee

                          Dundee is 6952 so you should have that by default. Follow this guide http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...settings-9789/ and see how it goes.

                          Make sure you scan from the direct feed for the initial scan. If you are using a splitter remove it for the duration of the scan. Also make sure you have the coax in the Cable In socket on the back of the box.

                          Post back if you are still having problems and hopefully we can resolve them.
