hd viewing + future proof for a novice?

    hi all,
I am a complete novice to satellite viewing, never even had sky..sorry in advance.

anyway, I have been looking at all the advice and posts on here which seems quite informative.

I realise that there is going to be some kind of switch over/ upgrade in the near future, I have a 50inch samsung plasma and want to watch prem matches and movies, both in HD if

I have been looking at the :-
    Dreambox DM800 HD PVR

would this do me for a few years and which motorised dish would I be best to use, and would I need any other accessories?

I have been told that streamed to view is the future, but he could have been blagging me..advice if you know please

and finally, is the system easy to set up on my own? and easy to update/program etc.

thank you for reading this post/thread and a big thanks in advance to anyone who offers some useful advice.

    peace

this isnt the best time to spend your money on a sat system...many providers are changing encryption and soon we may not have anything left to watch footy on...

Read the Rules here; they apply to Everyone.
