    usb sticks

    ive bought 2 usb sticks the first one i started copying movies over and after 5 minutes the usb stick just vanished from computer,i restarted pc removed stickbut still nothing.

    the second stick i wasdoing exactly the same but then that stopped copying but was still able to see it in pc , soi unplugged and put back in,i tried to delete one of files but i got message that the stick had become write protected ive tried formatting ect but keep getting message ido not hav eprivales or somthing to that effect. can any body help.

    i have used another usb stick inpast and not had problem. ive been using it to put programson for guyt in work and been ok but lost hisstick and this is his replacement.

    im using a mac pc and he playing on windows (with stick i lost) oneof the sticks i bought i did makesur mac compatible

    format the pen-drive on a windows machine, that will set it to fat32 , mac default is fat=fat16

      Alternately, format it as NTFS, which is a more modern Windows format. See: 10.6: Enable native NTFS read/write support - Mac OS X Hints
