    Speaker cloth.

Afternoon all, I'm after suggestions for an alternative to speaker cloth to use on a second-hand sub I bought. I've seen many posts on other forums but no clear answer. I know some people use tights/stocking fabric, is it any good and which denier can I use? Any suggestions welcome as the proper cloth is quite expensive. Need black in colour. Hope someone can help, best wishes, Craig, Nottingham.

i went down to my local fabric shop as i was making a subwoofer rear shelf and used it double and tack hammered in place or for a sub you could use this.
Speaker cloth and acoustic fabric for covering grills and DIY projects
the two subs in boot are exposed and just have a decorative grill.

It's all "snake oil" on a sub, you could use an old curtain! Just find something that's relatively open weave and crack on!
