hoping to install a motorised dish shortly and have narrowed it down to 2 dishes an orbital 1m or a Gibertini 1m, anyone have any opinions on the dish choice or have any recommendations.

To be perfectly honest there is very little in it between them the Gibertini beats the Orbital slightly on Signal gain but like i say its marginal, the Gibertini is Aluminium Dish Face with stainless steel rear bracketing, the Orbital is available in Aluminium Dish face or steel but had a Plastic rear back but is very good for making near slight increment adjustments just like the Gibby.
Price wise between the Gibertini and the Orbital aluminium is about ?5

ok I went for the gib a dark supreme and inverto black ultra, need a good wall mount any suggestions and what to avoidComment

If you have a nice south facing wall then a Sturdy wall mount will suffice as long as you keep it Plumb all the way around, Most will advise a set of T&K's with a piece of scaffold pole and mount the motor in between the T and the K, the advantage of T&K is you have a minor adjustment when it comes to getting the pole plumb.
Either way on a south facing wall any will do the job

i use an orbital 1m been up a couple of years never had any problems good pictue all the time in north east englandComment

my gib dish arrived yesterday nearly had a fit when I saw the size of the box, they look massive close up
think this will have to go with t&k for this, what size would be best was looking at 18* will they be ok

18" to 24" should do m8 and about 3 or 4 feet of scaffold pole...............I know you believe you understand what you think i said
