    question on a softmodded wii....

Hi, I have just finished (I think) softmodding this wii for a friend of mine.... I have only a problem that I need help please: I have removed a few wii channels and now I have some blank channels on the first screen and a few others on the second screen.... how can I move those channels(like homebrew) on the first wii menu screen so they will be all in one page?

Homebrew Channel 1.1.2 running on IOS58
This is the first post in here for a couple of weeks I thought users didn't like the new forum if you want to make a comment about it http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...l-kaos-327546/

Now thats surpprised me that Homebrew Channel 1.1.2 I've asked about this 1.1.2 version but know one knows. I assume you used LetterBomb?

I softmodded another Wii 3 weeks ago using LetterBomb but it shows v1.1.0.

That sysCheck look ok apart from you haven't installed PriiLoader 0.7 to block any online or disc updates.

If you want to remove the IOS16 stub install my cIOS16-v257

To move any channels on the Wii menu you press the 'A' and 'B' buttons at the same time and drag them to their new location, if they are on another screen the hover over the - or + or press the - or + buttons to change screens. The only one you can't drag is the Disc Channel but you could change that after you install PriLoader.

If you find that you deleted a Channel that you wanted to can put the Wii channels back with the Shopping Channel but you will need to update that Channel. http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...hannel-312488/

Hi, I have used modmii, and I was on 4.0e and ask to go to 4.3e. Strange about priloader that does not come up, I have installed and enabled the 4 option as recommended....
      thank you for your reply.

Well sysCheck18 and sysCheck19 should show Priiloader installed so you may have missed it as its showing now.

So you used ModMii to update the Wii thats what installed Homebrew Channel 1.1.2. When you run Homebrew Channel and its connected to the web it will tell you if there are any updates available and allow you to download and install it.

So is everything working on this Wii as it should with an external USB hard drive?

Well, my friend asked me specifically to play games from backup discs, so I only tried neogamma and it works fine ( a bit slow I would say ) but I have also installed for him gxloader so if he change idea he can play in that way..... I will try with my HDD later tonight and I will report back. Don't really know what happened about priiloader before..... but it is there so I should be ok I suppose...

Well its an early Wii Drive date: 2006.05.26 so you should be ok with burnt discs and NeoGamma but they aren't really worth doing when you have to use quality DVD's and find somewhere to store them all.

Usb loader gx 2.3 can play dvd without an hdd installed tempo and also allows you to change the cios to make the game run properly if needed. Tell your mate the main reason hdd is preferred over dvd-r apart from the ongoing cost is that the wii reads original discs at 6x speed but can only read dvd-r at 3x speed causing glitches in some games and the most notable issue is if you try to load ghostbusters from disc you need some well timed pressing of the eject button to get past the first warning screen and load the game. hdd can read at 6x
