wifi box that will record while watching a different channel

hi could any1 tell me is there a dream box or any other make of sat box that can record a different channel than the 1 am watching ie watching sky sports 1 and record sky movies action? also must be wifi?? thanks nic

You could get vu+ solo2, duo, ultimo or uno with twin tuner and a compatible wifi dongle.
All the above have the ability to watch one and record another with a hard drive connected.
Also look into homeplugs as an alternative to wifi, mine hasn't missed a beat in 3 years.

I would not recommend dreamboxes for this sorry guys...i would recommend a vu duo (original) box for this and with prices being great at present its a great box for the money.

Homeplugs can be a very expensive alternative to a wifi dongle and i would prefer to run an ethernet cable from the router than use that equipment!!! granted not everyone has the tools for that particular job..

@Nicole you have not mentioned your budget so the solo2 is the ultimate box to own right now which has a twin tuner... other alternatives are the fantastic ultimo vu box which has the possibility of 3 interchangeable tuners/this box can also handle the new additional twin tuner module meaning you can have a quad (4 tuner) box

I have owned an original duo since 2010 and i have not looked back due to the overpriced and over-rated dreamboxes which are also cloned to hell..vu range is also cloned of course and some may be ok.

You can also record more than 2 channels btw...this means the channel your trying to record above your tuner capability has to be on the same transponder as the channels you are currently recording however!

P.s vu range have wifi capabilties!!!
