Dreambox signal breaks up in high winds, but ....

hi, noticed today with these strong high winds my picture on tv breaking up really bad (800hd se), so i thought its just the weather knocking the signal ect, so it got so bad i had to revert to my back up box, the cheapo skybox f3, every channel was perfect as if there was no bad weather, so why is the skybox perfect yet the dm is poor in bad weather>?

Could be a Tuner problem on the 800

How does one 'reseat' a tuner on the DM800hd ? I wouldnt be able to recognise it as I have never opened the box!>... but I do get this freezing on high winds too.

no the tuner needs checking inside the dreambox, it unplugs and plugs back in, open the box and make sure the tuner is fully located

no mate. open your box, and where your sat cable screws into, thats your tuner, it is seated in a slot on the main board, give it a push down to make sure its seated, or wiggle it out and reseat it. make sure all power is out of your box first!!! plug everything out before you do it. worked for me.
