    DM7000 freezes while booting

    Hello,

I have a nearly dead DM7000, which I would like to reanimate. The box freezes immediately after power on, displaying on lcd "Dreambox Multimedia" and Now Booting on TV screen. BUT! If I put the box in a freezer (don't ask my why i did it), it works fine until it warms up to room temperature. So far I was able to start scanning transponders and then it froze again. Flashing the box works only when the box is in the freezer.

I checked PSU voltages from the HDD power connector, all voltages are OK +12.1V and +5.1V. All caps are fine too - checked them with a ESR meter.

I'm trying to find a solution the past few weeks, but no luck so far. Any ideas what it cold be?

    Edit:

All I can get from hyperterminal:

    Installed RAM: 16 MB
Checking RAM between 0xA0000000 and 0xA0FFFFFF

    System RAM check complete
    trying 1 (1)
Booting from [FLASH] Application in Flash...

I installed a new image (gemini 4.7) and now geting this via hyper terminal:

    Dreambox DM7000
    loaded at: 00500000 00615170
    relocated to: 00400000 00515170
    board data at: 00513124 00513170
    relocated to: 00405194 004051E0
    zimage at: 004058D5 00512706
    avail ram: 00516000 00000000

    Linux/PPC load: console=null root=/dev/mtdblock5 rootfstype=squashfs ro
    Uncompressing Linux...oops... out of memory
    pause
    done.
    Now booting the kernel

      Hello
this behavior is not unncommon when there is a small crack in the soldered or printed connections in a piedce of electronic equipment. (Try freezing on crashed harddisks)
you might want to freeze only parts of thew Dreambox to check where the crack is.

      regards
