You can ONLY update to the latest firmware...which is now iOS 6.1.4

Try holding down the power button and the home button for about 15 seconds and see if it reboots.

Mate google DFU mode, this repairs 9 out of 10 issues.

As soon as you see the Apple logo press and hold the UP volume button until the reboot cycle has finished...

DFU mode does nothing.... it's just puts the iPhone into firmware upgrade mode...unless your planning a full Restore...

thanks guys i used dfu mode to bring my phone back now working fine thanks for all your advice
