ps don't follow the last 2 instruction: i.e don't reboot>deliver box to new location

Just a suggestion mate If the new box is using the latest firmware version check DHCPis set to on ,as some variants of the new firmware change setting to off

Try connecting the new box in place of the old one, just to eliminate any box issues

Sorry mate I should have been clearer in the post I meant disconnect the original box completely and in its place try the new one, I have 4 f3's running of a crap internet connection

are you using official skybox dongle? If not you will get this message on set up page once upon a time most tp- link ones would work with box now it's just the official ,there are limited amount of others but not too sure which. You can get the official ones for a fiver on certain trading site you also need to change modem security to wpa or wpa2. At best wifi on slyboxes is hit & miss .

Have you done the wifi setup? reboot the box enter the modem security key ? if the skybox itself won't recognise the dongle & you can't connect via ethernet doesn't look good. Just to check in neywork local setting DHCP is on and the box has a viable ip address?

talktalk try naming the device from unknown and with dongle make sure you are near router(2 versions 150MB 300MB) it will work with wpa&wpa2
