    newbie 2 flashing xbox 360

can any1 walk me through on how to flash my xbox 360?

Also what cables do i need 2 connect my PC to the xbox?

    What firmware i need?

Also whats the chance of me bricking the box cause I'm a newbie?

Wheres best place 2 get games from?

And last of all, i do remind people it did take me a week to fathom out how to flash a eurovox, but now find it piss easy to do, and if its anything like that I'm laughing.

    thanx guys...

First off we need to know what drive is in the 360.
    You will need sata cable.
There is always a chance you can brick it.
And lastly i use usenet for games

i personally would not use jungleflasher method on a hitachi drives.

I recently bricked a 46 using that method, i would go with the older mothod but again its personal prefs at end of the day.

At top of this forum there the 360 essentials the guides are in there or you could usse the xbins prog to get everything you need including the firmware.

Jungle flasher works perfectly every time m8.

I just done a Hitachi 78 without any probz..

I even had to restore the drive as i was updating old firmware. JF put drive into modeb, read fw and created new and flashed and verified....easy.

The 46 that recently bricked on me was through jungleflasher and was stock but it could have been down to the pc i was using at the time but must admit that jungleflasher was easy for a sammy

I can flash any drive in under 5 mins with JF...

Its now almost too easy in fact its been easyer since i got rid of my via 6421 card.

Dont forget if you are using via card to remove then drivers to stop freezing issues..

I have this. Any special settings? I can get the key from JF. When I try MTK Flash it can't see my "Flash Chip Properties" and errors (Invalid Status 0x50) out if I do anything.
