Afghan Interpreters Can Come To UK In Rethink

Around 600 Afghan interpreters are to be offered the chance to settle in Britain after an apparent coalition rethink.

About half the staff working with UK forces are expected to be granted visas in recognition of risks to their personal safety.

The proposals could see all interpreters who have been in the job more than 12 months and put themselves in physical danger offered a resettlement package.

Could be more then 600 Afghan interpreters coming to UK doesn?t makes any sense, shouldn?t they stay in their own country to help rebuild it after years of conflict.

imo these types on peeps are the ones that should be allowed into the country, they have helped the forces risked their lives in the process (even tho it is their country) let them come av np with it.

Well if the foces had any sense they'd have thought about this before employing them. Same thing happened in Iraq. However as other people have said you can't just abandon them to being killed/attacked by the Taliban. After all those people did help the UK, and many other countries out, and it's only right we protect them as best we can. Otherwise the next time we need help - who in their right mind would help out knowing we'd abandon them to die at the end?

They served with Britain so deserve our help however how do we know they havent been infiltrated by the same terrorists they helped fight.
