    strenghten sky digital signal

    Hows it going?Is there a way of boosting my sky digital signal,DIY style.At the moment its at about 40% which does the job.Iv got one of these sat signal finders with the dial which beeps once Iv got a strong signal but the picture is still a little jumpy.
    Any help greatly welcome

    On your sat finder turn the db dial down to about -2..you may also wanna try nudging the dish up and down

      you say the pics a bit jumpy?..low signal strength would cause
      the pics to pixelate...if you only have 40%strength then its way
      too low...try moving the dish a little l/r and get someone to look
      at the strength meter on the box,and when you have found the
      strongest signal tighten back up....then alter the elevation a little to optimise strength and you should be ok....
      also if its an old lnb like a cambridge,they dont have a good threshold and by replacing this you will improve signal whithout
      needing to move the dish...

        signal strength is not the most important qaulity is the most important ..yes moving the elevation (up and down)is important as is side to side take your time with it signal meters on stbs are no good at all they cannot replace a good signal meter yes the lnb is all important
