Virgin media box used in another used in a different area

Guys good to see Dk back online, was having withdrawal symptoms.

I have Ex5000 which has replaced my box provided by VM which is just sitting under my bed.

My girlfriend has VM broadband in her house but no TV. If I were to put a splitter on the line coming in and attach my box, would this work or would VM know the box is out of it's area. My area and my girlfriends area are both TW.

as long as it has a active veiwing card you can use the box anywhere ive done this before and it works fine

i would even say virgin would say nothing about it being in another house as your paying for it so doesnt really matter whewre it goes

can you still do this with nag 3 now introduced? also anyone know how many boxes u can get from virgin i am looking for 4 is there a limit,i know i could ask them and will ,just wondered if anyone knew cheers

Hi m8 i dont think there is a limit but you will have to pay for the 3 extra boxes.

tx m8 phoned them can get 4 boxes ,so next point can i take 1 box to my dads house to watch footy etc who has all the fittings,hes same area bout 5 mins in car i could definately do it a while back but not sure if ah can still do it anyone know if this is still possible am ex tw area and just double checking if this is possible with nag 3 now in action any help appreciated tx

if you have the box and the card and the feed is live why not n3 will not affect the box.
