sorry to be a complete tool but here i go anyway!

I've just ordered an EX7000HD (cos it looked the easiest to set up - all that talk of cables and flashing scared me! )
What is the epg? and what is the problem with it?

the epg is the programe guide and it's no good and thats putting it mildly if you get one of these boxes get yourself a good tv mag

like said earlier in the thread they would sell a lot more if they brought some new fw out as i was gonna buy one myself but i will buy one as soon as the fw is sorted as im sick of having a HDTV and no HD chanels so fingers crossed they will be bringing out the new fw soon.

ok montyB the epg dose not affect the recording you highlite prog you want then press the yellow btn to go to the timer change the mode to pvr rec the red to save

but to select the programme you want is that not through the EPG?

EG: i want to record UFC at 3 am, do i not have to use EPG to find this programme then go through the recording process?

click on the programmes u want to record and set timer

I love this box, but agree the epg is somewhat lacking.
also, wish i could switch off audio description on some channels - any ideas?
