Guys, am I correct in thinking that the DK 1.1 image in the downloads section will work / is suitable for use with both satellite and cable ?

If so, am I also correct in thinking that if I use the same AU fix / keys as when using the image on cable, I will be able to receive the the maximum amount of channels available, or are there better images available using different keys etc that would give me a greater choice of channels.

Basically what I'm asking is, which is the best image / keys, etc, to use with the DM500 for a (Motorised) satellite set up,

Best thing it to flash and play with it, see how it feels. I also recommend you try PLi Jade images or nabilosat. See which one you find to be more comfortable to navigate your way round and use that.

Thanks for that, so which set up (Image / keys / softcams, etc) would you recommend I start off with initiallly.

I'm not totally new to satellite and have a reasonably good understanding of the proccesses having used / patched a Technomate 1500ci in the past, however I'm not up to speed at the moment and would appreciate a little guidance / some tips.

So really what I'm after is the set up that would give me the maximum amount of channels that are currently available, with the latest keys / softcams, etc that are presently in use.
I'm in the UK (Northern England) and have a 1.2 mt motorised dish.

I would also need to know where / which folders any keys, etc have to go in on the box (500S)

Load CCcam 2.1.1 for the cam and install the Satan Keyupdater plugin or any any other similar plugin for downloading your keys from the web and installing onto your dm500.

Ok mate thanks, which folders / where would the keys / cam go on the DM500 ?
Where would the Satan keyupdater go, how would I install it ?
(Any relevant links to guides / how to's would be handy)
Also just for info, at the moment / initially, due to logistics, the DM500 would only be connected to the internet when adding / updating any keys / cams, etc,
