Unfortunately, I don't think there are any real alternatives to the Windose programs for the Dreambox. I find it ironic that I need to use Windose to communicate with a Linux based box. :/
There's a dreamup for linux (don't think it's open source, only binaries), just google for it. I dunno what it's like now, but when I tried it, it was technically a beta. It worked though.
the only solution for gui utilities i think is dual booting!
But i try the terminal solution under the linux it's better but a lot of commands to make all you need! thanks anyway!!!!!
