Wii Softmod for Dummies(without Zelda)Reupload

this soft mod uses the bannerbomb crack read the pdf file and follow the instructions and all should be fine. I have not tested this on version 4 but feedback would be welcome. Print out the pdf. file before you do anything read it twice and follow the instructions precisely step by step.
For those downloading the games use the Patcher to convert all the games burn at slow speed( i burn at 4x using nero) use verbatim - (not +)discs. This is for versions 3 wii's.Please do not use this thread for first post, the thread is to help those that need help and advice.

I finally got my tester game "Mad Tracks" to work this morning but it was gray so I just continued installing them stupid IOS's and now all the sudden every app I try goes black. My HBC works to. I had updated to 4.2 before I softmodded and everything started to work until now. Someone pleeeeeese help. Is there a way I can start at the beginning?

Do I need to download Zelda in order to play games from another region? I bought my Wii in the EU and then bought some games from the US, not really thinking that it would be a problem to make them work on the EU Wii but....
Now I am a little confused; Can I use this tutorial to make the games work or do I also need to download Zelda?

spideyalert this softmod was not for 4.2 thats why its all going wrong follow a guide for 4.2 should get you back on track

so just to clarify, this will work on firmware 4.0E? and ill be able to run homebrew/backups?

will i need to do any additional steps to use a usb drive?
