Nokia DBOX2 keeps on turning itself off

Can anyone help me on this one. I have the Nokia Dbox2 with the Blade Quad image. When i switch the box on, the Blade Quad image (the nice lady) appears, for about 5 secs, then the screen goes blank, a few more secs, then the dbox turns itself off and on again. Then the whole thing happens again, looping. The box does get past the Blade Quad image. What is the problem?

You would need to monitor the output with a null modem cable and hyperterminal to find out exactly what it causing it to reboot.

I would try and flash a new image or even the same image again. If you don't have time to flash an image (because it reboots) then you'll need to use IFA.

I do not have time to flash as it re-boots very quickly. I have just downloaded the IFA and will try this today at some point. Thanks

In the Dbox section there is a guide in the stickies " flashing a dbox using Hyper terminal " Use that , it will sort it out for you.

Make sure you got a null modem cable handy.

I have found the thread. I have VISTA installed, will this be a problem because u couldn't find the hyperterminal link?

IFA is quicker and easier than hyperterminal so try IFA first.

Get the lastest IFA here which runs on vista
