PS3/gren screen on HDMI

Hello,
I purchased a PS3, and I've been using the sacrt cable for a while. Everything went perfectly fine until last night I when i plugged in my HDMI cable and now all i have is a green screen with white writting,when i play a DVD BD disc it plays perfectly,but when i play my game throught the HDMI it will only play in green and red screen spoke to sony on the subjuct so they sent me another PS3 but this does the same.then i spoke to samsung the tv maker they have no answers because it plays blueray disc's fine throught the HDMI cable fine.my tv is 1080i and hd ready has anyone got any answers it's doing my head in

was gunna say have you tried another hdmi cable but if blu_ray plays ok then it's not gunna be your lead.

is there no settings on the PS3 that you can change regarding display?

hi mate this might be worth a look
Try going to Display Settings in the XMB and reconfigure the HDMI. Let the PS3 do it automatically as it will detect the tv's resolution it can accept for you. You can also try unplugging the HDMI from the tv and the PS3 and reseating it with the tv off and let it redetect the cable again to see if a signal malfunction is causing this to happen.
