Hi.
Can someone tell me using the info button the frequencies for the following channels please;
bbc 4
living+1
living 2
living+2
community channel
history+1
I want to manually scan for these channels as my box never picked these up on the scan and I don't want to mess my favourites.
Thanks.Comment

You don't actually need to go into full power scan and press exit m8. You just need to go to user installation which is what your being taken to when you press the exit button in full power scan anyway.Yes its the same for all eurovox, here is a good tip, if you loose just 1 station, stay on the station, press info twice, you will see the frequency number example 270 000, then go to menu installation, full power scan press OK then 0000 you will see a red dot, (now) press exit, a new box will open with loads of numbers, up down left right until the number is highlighted, then press OK a tick will be on that number, then do a manual scan, may be blue or green button depending on your box, the screen will go black for a bit then come back on, once saved the station will be back in a flash and you only scanned one station, and it will keep the order, never press when you see the red dot as this will delete all stations.Comment

For some reason, Im not doing anything different, but now when I do the manual scan its started auto sorting channels again. Im now baffled that a) auto sort is happening on a manual scan and b) why I am missing a couple of living channels and tcm (which I'm assuming is a frequency scanning issue).Comment

I do not know which model you have but assume it has autosort firmware. You can disable autosort in the main installation page, but it will default back to on after each scan, so you need to do this each time or use firmware with no autosort feature if available for your particular model.
The missing channels may be due to the fact that you could be in an old analogue area. But I know Croydon has some issues with regards to scanning, if you change your scan steps to 6Mhz as opposed to 8Mhz this may help.I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer. - Douglas AdamsComment

I have the EX7000HD and my way works on that without losing any of the channels. Its almost the same as you do but in user installation. I guess it's different on some boxes for example on my maxv I use to go to Fast Install then exit then update if I wanted to scan on all frequencies without losing channel order but went into user installation and just ticked the one frequency and then hit manual scan to just get the one frequency scanned. Anyways thanks for the info bud. Keep it comingComment

Hello
Isnt this basically just a manual scan in user installation?
I've been trying to find out how to keep the order of channels after manual scanning since i first got the box about 4 months ago!
If i turned off autosort before doing a manual scan would this keep the channel order? If so how do you turn auto sort off!? (i have EX1000sl).

Go into Menu / Installation / Fast Install and press OK (enter pin)
Now press the red button on the remote for advanced install
Scroll down the options and turn Fav Sort off (if you have the nosort firmware this option is not there)
Press Exit on the remote control (not OK) and the frequency screen appears
Scroll to the frequency you want and press OK on the remote to put a tick next to it
Press the Blue Button on the remote to do a manual scan of that frequencyComment

Thanks for the advice - I'll try this next time a channel is scrambled.this is how on a max v your box should be very similar
Go into Menu / Installation / Fast Install and press OK (enter pin)

Press Exit on the remote control (not OK) and the frequency screen appears

Press the Blue Button on the remote to do a manual scan of that frequency
So does this have to be done before every scan or just the once?
