eurovox 5100 glitching picture & sound

I done the deep scan and now have the quota of channels. But most are unwatchable due to teh above problem. I have tried taking the splitter out and gone direct and i have the same problem.

Has anyone experiencing similar problems or has a solution??

Things have got better, if i turn the box off at the mains. Turn it on without broadband connected i get a perfect picture. However the picture deteriorates over time. Does this mean i have a faulty box?
