    HDD for ex6000

    Hi,
Can anyone recommend a tried and tested HDD for ex6000. I have been using a seagate expansion 500gb but unfortunately it didn't prove reliable. Thanks

The HDD needs to be self-powered. Many were reporting problems with cheap USB HDD, so I had made some up that are proving reliable. You need a good powered caddy with a HDD formatted in FAT32.

Thanks for the reply, I used swissknife to format the seagate hdd , not sure wether its better or not to completely format the hdd as I have since read that its advisable to leave a portion as it was. I hadn't thought of using a powered caddy so thats worth thinking about.
