problems flashing a eurovox max v

im having problems flashing my euroox, ive downloaded the firmware from the sticky thread, pluged the box into my pc using a usb serial converter lead,left the box on standby.

when i click download on the above program it just says 'no avalible com port'

any idea wot im doing wrong?
