i have a dream box which is password protected and i dont know the password (definitely not the default), is there any way of cracking the password without flashing the box?

if you have tuxbox commander installed or you can install it goto find files called passwd & passwd- delete passwd n rename passwd- to passwd, i think there in var/etc
