newest neogamma,put folder in apps folder on sd card,if you have a neogamma in there already take it out,put sd card in wii start homebrew channel and start neogamma go to config and select search for patches and select save config,exit neogamma put sd card back in pc there should now be a neogamma folder on the root of your sd card,copy the 3 wip files from the neogamma in your apps folder and paste them in the neogamma folder on root of sd card, put sd card back in the wii start homebrew channel and play all new games without a problem,works best with ios38 r14.

With the Above Rar ... Once downloaded ... Go to the File ...
Unrar it to a Folder ... You will then have a Folder Called
"newNeoGammaR8beta17" ... Copy that Folder into Apps
on your SD Card ... Dont copy the insides of the Folder to
Apps ... Thats a Common mistake sometimes ... Put SD Card in
Wii ... Boot up the Wii ... Go To "Homebrew Channel" and it Should be there ... You may have to scroll across ... It should
Appear like all the Apps in Your SD Card, Good Luck

sound to me you have installed cios 38 r17 not neogamma 8 r17,if you have you have two options leave as is and ignore message and install neogamma 8 r17 or download cios 38 r14 and reinstall that then install neogamma 8 r 17.hope this helps.

I'd also add, google the new Neogamma V8 Channel, i recently downloaded that and it's a much quicker and smoother way of accessing the launcher.

so my understanding is:
I have previously softmodded wii: Neogamma 6 ios249 rev14,
if i upgraded to the Neogamma 8 rev 17, i take it this would just be an upgrade?
How can i get my wii to except games on a usb/sd card?

Any help would be much apprecited.

by upgrading to neogamma 8 rev 17 it wont make any difference to the running of your wii, it will just let you play newer games like new super mario br*****s
