I have a USB Media Player, When I try to boot it says nodisk, there is a hard drive,and it works. I have tried the device manager etc, but there is no trace of the player on the PC, I did format the drive prior to the failer?

Is it a mains powered USB HDD or 2 USB Cable powered HDD?
Some HDD's won't get powered from media players and need there own dedicated power supply. Usually 3.5 inch ones are mains powered. -
what brand is the media player? some media players only support FAT32 formatted hard drives, maybe you have a NTFS driveComment
