    USB Media Player

    I have a USB Media Player, When I try to boot it says nodisk, there is a hard drive,and it works. I have tried the device manager etc, but there is no trace of the player on the PC, I did format the drive prior to the failer?

      Is it a mains powered USB HDD or 2 USB Cable powered HDD?

      Some HDD's won't get powered from media players and need there own dedicated power supply. Usually 3.5 inch ones are mains powered.

          what brand is the media player? some media players only support FAT32 formatted hard drives, maybe you have a NTFS drive
