i have been going to leeds cross green car boot for many years now but i have been this morning and they have finally pulled the plug on it and shut it down for good . gutted as it was ideal for thing to keep my kids quiet on these dark nights . can any body recomend any sunday markets near gross green and if you use to go were will you be going next.

i read somewhere they closed it because to many stuff sold was counterfiet or stolen

They sold more film's and games than HMV.

Yeah a top market, what a shame, theres an ok on though at bramhope near the leeds/bradford airport or try the one just off the A19 just off the motorway. Newsmithfield market at manchester is ok too.

The one at Bramhope/ Yeadon is on main road which goes past Leeds/Bradford Airport. ONLY held in summer. Otley has a car boot sale,held at cattle market, used to be noon start. Both 50p entrance.

Yes, closed due to counterfeit goods. Hmm nothing to do with the fact that this is one of two sites proposed for a new tip.

I Had got to know and rely on quite a few of the traders there, and to pull the plug without notice is deplorable. I can't get any contact numbers or anything.

Lets face it wasn't hard to find those selling the dvds, they was in the same place every week. the council could easily move them on if they had wanted. Instead they probably took the money for the pitch and gave them a permit.

Cross Green the 1 in middle of big industrial Estate with Meat seller right at the back? Used to pop there for my blank discs, cheers for heads up thats its shut!!!!
