    DM800 No Channels - Help!

Yes i'm a newbie.....but all the weeks of reading up have been to no avail as i have crumpled at the first hurdle.

Box is a DM800 fresh from China with 75bootloader Gemini 4.5. I connected my router to it and the current LNB input from my sky+ box (this had perfect signal) pointing at 28.2.

Powered up, checked internet connection - fully connected and working. Went to service-tuner config and this is where it started to go wrong. I cannot select 28.2 from the menu, it will only give me three possible satelites (19, 22 and 25 from memory). When I go into satfinder there is no signal. If I do a search it progresses the search bar but always returns a "0 services found"

What I have done wrong? or is the tuner screwed? I would have thought is should return some movement of the SNR and BER but nothing. When I plug the coax back into the sky plus - services - setup - full signal on both LNB 1 and 2. So I definately have a signal but my DM800 cannot see this. I have tried both LNB coax inputs in to the "Input" side of the dreambox, still nothing.

    Please help!

Cheers DC. I'm sure I did this correctly, there is a choice of 4 regions, I selected "european......" downloaded it and it was successful......but I didnt see any changes in the config areas, it still wouldnt allow me to scroll through to 28.2. I don't need to be running any other programs do i? I saw Cam 2.8.1 running - it's starting to worry me that I have a duff box.

OK - found the problem downloading the settings - didnt click OK on European satelite doh. So selected eurobird 28.2, downloaded, now lets me select 28.2 satelite in tuner config, but again I go to satfinder, none of the bars are lit up, do an autoscan returns 100% scan 0% services found. It definately isnt seeing any signal - any ideas?
        Thanks

Have you tried finding an active transponder manually try 11739 V.

Here is a list of transponders HERE

@sattalk - put those values in manually, scan done 0 services found. When i put those values into sat finder still no signal at the top

I havent been dialing in any settings as dish is fixed, using the auto / manual scans. Signal is there as my sky+box can see both LNB signal inputs.

I'm resigned to it being a duff tuner module?

It just progresses the search bar over a period of 2-3 minutes, nothing else happens. I have seen screen shots showing how a scan normally builds up channles and the sat finder displays bars filled at top but I don't get either.

All I did on my 800 was find a active transponder on 28.2 and then clicked satfinder.

                      Up it came.

perhaps i didnt do enough homework before hand, all the guides I read indicated you point the dish, tell the db which satelite you are pointing at and autoscan for channels.

im not too clued up on transponders but from what i gather i need to change the settings in the manual scan menu to a transponder on 28.2 - the frequency and h/v, is that all? then OK on remote, exit and then enter sat find menu to see if signal bars appear?

                        Thanks

Its just to check the tuner is working and the dish is in position which you know it is.

If after entering a transponder manually and still no signal shows, then it may very well be the tuner.

                          Try this transponder:

                          10788
                          V
                          22000
